If you’re like most people we know, you’re curious about taking online surveys to earn additional income. For some, it’s saving up for a fun family vacation to a theme park or exotic destination. Others want to make a part-time income while in school or at home with little ones. But whatever your desire for that extra cash from online surveys, know that it can be done. So let’s give you some helpful tips to Make Extra Money!
Tip #1: Apply for as many sites as you can
Now there’s no magic number here – because part of this depends on your personal initiative and own goals. For some this can mean applying for 10 sites and others will apply for up to 50 sites if they can. Understand that some of these sites will wind up sending you more surveys than others and some may wind up sending you no surveys at some times, depending on the information that you provide them. So simply by applying for as many sites as you can, you are increasing your odds of earning cash from online surveys.
Tip #2: Keep track of which surveys you’ve taken.
This is probably the biggest tip we can give you – to track your results. Because by doing so, you’ll have a strong understanding of just how much of an effort you are putting out there. This is actually far simpler than you realize. Create a word processing document or spreadsheet and enter the information, detailing where you took the survey, the cash amount offered and the date you took it.
Tip #3: Answer questions honestly.
We know it can be very tempting to er, “swing for the fences” and try to answer just about every survey that comes your way in the hopes of a cash payout. But if in one survey you are a 3 pack a day smoker who travels by plane 6x a year and then in another you are a lifetime non-smoker who has only been on a plane 1x in the past 5 years, the survey companies are going to take note. Unless you are a spy during your daily life, we think it is going to be hard to keep track of these “identities” you create for surveys! Just answer honestly and know the surveys will come to you.
Tip #4: Answer surveys quickly.
Did you get an offer to take a $5.00 survey in your Inbox this morning? Quick! Before you do other things, sit down and take it. Why? Because with some surveys, they “cap” the number of people who can take it. So once they reach the amount of responses they want, the survey company tells you they don’t need you to take it. So you’ll miss out on your cash payout.
Tip #5: Decide which surveys are best for you.
Everyone is different – so what you like about taking surveys may be something entirely different from someone else. Some like being paid to give their opinion to help shape products and services. Others are more tempted by the ability to earn income in a flexible way, and that’s the priority for them. When you start taking surveys, you’ll realize that some companies will send you a longer survey – and of course it gives a higher payout. Well some survey takers would actually like to take a lower cash payout survey that takes up less time because they have a super active toddler or they are trying to study for exams. Figure out what is important about taking surveys to you and stick to your goals – this will help you be successful!
